This recipe is SO simple, giving a shot of nutrition with a kick of flavor.  The name even gives you all the more reason to make them for summer barbecues and Fourth of July poolside munchies!

Firecracker Walnuts

Prep time: 2 minutes   Cook time: 10 minutes   Total time: 12 minutes

Yield: 2 cups



  1. Preheat oven to 275ºF.
  2. Melt beef tallow either in the microwave or over the stove until it's completely liquid.  Meanwhile, mix together walnuts with all of the spices.
  3. Pour melted tallow over the walnuts and mix in thoroughly, making sure the walnuts are covered evenly with spices and tallow.
  4. Bake on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before removing from the cookie sheet and enjoying.  These are a great snack for parties or just everyday life!

2 cups walnuts, shelled

2 Tbsp Fatworks Beef Tallow

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
